2016 UPDATE: The last test casts in stainless steel came back successful in Feb 2016. Had new molds made again and are finally moving forward. Currently working on the new wax casts to take down to the foundry. As soon as the first batch of stainless casts come back from the foundry we plan to launch the Indiegogo campaign. There will be options to purchase Stump Armour for others so pairs can be given away for free.
Not compatible? I have been getting lots of site visits from various countries around the world. For anyone that doesn't use the industry standard mount pictured: I need to know what you are using to mount prosthetics to the socket so I can create a solution. Contact me via email.

STUMP ARMOUR A STUBBY PROSTHETIC DEVICE FOR DOUBLE ABOVE KNEE AMPUTEES
The first product this company is bringing to market is a low-cost stubby prosthetic device called Stump Armour. The device is designed specifically for bilateral above knee amputees to maximize their mobility close to the ground, it was originally designed it for performing mechanic work. The device minimizes effort to stand up from any position, to move short distances, reach items on the ground, lift heavy objects, or simply work out. In my case it significantly reduces strain on the lower back. The rounded design allows the amputee to naturally place the femurs in the best possible position for their lower back.
Access to prosthetic equipment should be a right and not a privilege.
Green's Machines LLC will strive to keep costs low so individuals with little or no insurance coverage will be able to afford to purchase Stump Armour.
There are over 2 million amputees in the US and that number grows by 185,000 every year. US insurance providers spend 12 billion annually in this market. Worldwide over 1 million amputations are performed yearly. A small percentage of the US amputee population will be able to use this affordable foot but we also are exploring international and potential humanitarian applications. This direction may include several variations and accessories that still need to be developed.
Stump Armour is patent pending.
Stump Armour doesn't look like a human foot. It doesn't need to. It just needs to work.
